ALUMINUM+0 BASEPLATE FOR MEC-GAR / CANIK MAGS (w/ Steel FloorPlate)
An aluminum machined baseplate (+0) intended for the Canik Full Size 18rd or 15rd magazines. Adds weight and durability, helping empty mags drop out. Similar to the aluminum baseplates that were provided with the Canik RIVAL SFX. Fits many Mec-Gar/Canik/Beretta 92FS/Sig P226/Walther magazines, and works with most full size Caniks such as the METE SFT, TP9, SFX, RIVAL, etc. May also work with other pistol and magazine combinations. If your Canik magazine came with a flat black plastic floorplate, this WILL LIKELY work with it and your pistol.

SPECS:
6061 Aluminum with formed 304 Stainless floor plate.
Bead blasted silvery gray finish. Other colors may be available in the future. Spray paint to match your needs if desired. Easy to install and remove!
INSTALLATION (see video in product pics):
1. Remove existing baseplate from metal 18rd magazine tube.
2. Remove any plastic pieces attached to the bottom of the spring.
3. Slide loop in floor plate over tip of spring and rotate it around so the bent tab is rearward and upward on the magazine. (see product pictures)
4. Push spring and floorplate against bottom of metal mag tube, slide baseplate on the grooves from front to back.
5. Floor plate should be pushed downward into baseplate once installation is complete.
6. Test retention by tugging the baseplate forward, it should not come off the magazine tube. Test for function by loading and unloading rounds. Test slide-lock on empty pistol.
7. DONE! Go SHOOT and be merry.
8. Removal is in reverse, use a fingernail, knife-tip, or flat-head screwdriver to lift the floorplate, then slide the baseplate off the front of the mag.
